On December 8, 2023 Business School participated in Establishing a Technology Transfer Office Workshop organized by Commercial Law Development Program (CLDP) of the U.S. Department of Commerce at Innovation Center of Kyrgyz Patent.

Urmat Ryskulov, Begimai Abdraeva and Bermet Talasbek kyzy of Business School are invited as members of “Kyrgyz Republic IP/Technology & Commercialization Working Group” and will engage in future CDLP activities to learn the policies, practices, and infrastructure necessary for effective and sustainable IP/Tech Transfer and to draft an Intellectual Property Policy (IPP). IPP will guide universities and governments in protection of IP of innovators and in maximization of innovation impact on the society.

Expert panel included James Filpi, Senior Attorney, CLDP staff, Richard Cahoon, Professor-adjunct in Global Development, Cornell University and Ashley Stevens, President, Focus IP Group, LLC. They shared their experience in establishing a framework of Tech Transfer in Massachusetts state in public and private universities across various fields, discussed the role of academic, government, and private sector stakeholders in technology transfer ecosystem in Kyrgyzstan.

AUCA Business School is actively participate in CDLP project of Establishing Technology Transfer Office.
