In the middle of April, we, senior fellows and members of AUCA Case Club: Adylbek
Kenzhebek, Kanat Osmonov, Nurkalyy Sooronbayev and Azatbek Ismailov applied to business
case competition KIMEP, which was held in Almaty.

The competition consisted of two parts – online submission and Super Finals.

We cracked the case of one of the leading FMCG company MARS. We were asked to
develop a strategy, which would increase sales up to 30% by 2021. In a short period of time
given to us, we, as a group, aggregated our skills gained out of internship, previous case competitions, in-class courses and subsequently, submitted the first part of the solution.

Fortunately, the KIMEP commission accepted our strategy and we were invited to Super Finals
to Almaty.

The Super Finals were quite interesting and intriguing. There were 8 teams, which
defended their ideas and strategies in front of MARS executives. Nevertheless, the juries leaned
towards to our solution and granted us the first place, as they noted it was innovative and logic.

This case competition will remain forever in our memory:

– We are the first students from Kyrgyzstan, who won a case competition in Kazakhstan.

– The amazing pastime with my friends, followed by 35 hours of non-sleep preparation to Super Finals.

On top of that, we would like to highly appreciate the assistance of SEBA as they were
providing us the greatest support during the whole competition.
