On November 11, 2022, faculty of AUCA School of Entrepreneurship and Business Administration (SEBA) Begimai Abdraeva, Saikal Anvar kyzy, Talant Asan Uulu, and a BA senior student Aruuke Bekzat kyzy participated in the 1st International Conference “Entrepreneurship, innovation, and technology: Challenges, opportunities, and prospects in the CIS” co-sponsored by AUCA SEBA and organized by Nazarbaev University in Nursultan, Kazakhstan. Among other sponsors, partners and participants were faculty of KAZNU, Kazakh British University, Suleyman Demirel University.

SEBA developed and proudly presented its first-ever teaching business cases of three Kyrgyz companies at the conference:

  1. Theorizing the entrepreneurial process of developing blockchain
  2. Moving up down in value chain: case of Matkasym Company
  3. Building Creative Industries: challenges and opportunities of Kyrgyz Innovative companies
  4. Milky Way of “Shoro”: Shall the beverage company enter the milk market?

Business cases were developed by Urmat Ryskulov, Begimai Abdraeva, Talant Asan Uulu, Saikal Anvar Kyzy, Bermet Talasbek Kyzy, and Aruuke Bekzat kyzy in cooperation and with the support of the founders of Shoro, ololo and Matksym. SEBA expresses its gratitude to the founders and managers of companies for supporting this initiative and sharing the success stories of their businesses will serve as staple teaching material in the Business programs not only at AUCA but beyond.

Also, we congratulate Saikal Anvar kyzy and Talant Asan uulu on the “Best paper” award received for business cases “Theorizing the entrepreneurial process of developing blockchain” and Milky Way of “Shoro”: Shall the beverage company enter the milk market?

This is the first round of business cases that SEBA developed, with several more in the pipeline this academic year.
